REDFORD, MICH. – The biggest Spring Break Campaign to ever hit the web has launched.  Official Spring Break ’06, sponsored by Ocean Potion Sun Care Products of Cocoa Beach, Fla, is now live according to Ocean Potion’s Agency of Record, Western Creative, Inc., an advertising agency based in the metro Detroit area.  Ocean Potion has been joined by fellow sponsors Great Hair, Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla. and Salon Grafix of Auburn Hills, Mich. for this event.

Official Spring Break ’06 includes photo contests, free music downloads from some of the hottest independent artists, spring break survival tips and much more.

The main photo contest is based on the successful “Hot or Not” model and will result in two cash prizes of $1,500 (one prize each for the hottest guy and the hottest girl, based on viewer ratings).  The five minor photo contests reward winners with Spring Break Survival Kits.  Those gift packs include Ocean Potion products, OP logo beach towel, blanket, bag, and an iPod Nano filled with music from the website.

The contests were unveiled on February 13, 2006 and will run until March 31, 2006.  A wide-ranging advertising campaign has been launched to support the Spring Break Promotion including banner ads and paid search.  Users on the popular site Myspace.com, where nearly eight million banner ads will appear, are already buzzing about who’s hot and who’s not for this contest.  As a result, Official Spring Break membership is climbing daily.
